Devi Sri Prasad's background score is another louder element in the film. He establishes some unnecessary characters who are there only for one or two scenes. He takes too much time to go into the main conflict. We have exciting mass moments to celebrate and some not-so-necessary scenes that we can easily forget. Hari's writing in this film has several ups and downs. The action masala is still watchable but one can feel that this film is just an imaginary feature.

Except for him, I feel that Singam 2 doesn't create the same magic that the prequel did. The film has everything to satisfy the hardcore Suriya fans. There is a number of antagonists in the film but none of them create the much-needed impact. The other characters have the very little scope in this action masala. Well, Suriya is the only satisfaction in Singam 2 because he is there in every scene right from the beginning. Honestly speaking, Singam 2 feels exaggerated with its superhero kind fight scenes, the massive chase scenes, and the heroism factor hitting too much hard. Continuing the story from where it ended, the film doesn't look back from then and goes on much faster than it was before.

Just like the first Singam, Hari made the sequel a much action-oriented masala film. Reviewed by Sivakumar Balachandran Singam's humungous success, Hari and Suriya are reuniting back in Singam 2. Verdict: Singam 2 total Surya mass and nothing else.

But if you are a die-hard fan of Surya and wanted only hero kicking and fighting the villains get in for this movie and enjoy. But totally this was the other way around in this movie like they didn't get married and so on. But I guess from the last scene of the first movie it was very implicit that Anushka and Surya got married and they were on the way to Thuthkudi where I remember Anushka was with her newly married style of makeup. The story started from what they left in the last movie. It was so annoying and irritating to look at the amateur level of graphics in the movie in many places. Music got so repeating tunes from the first flick. Coming to the technical parts of the movie, direction and cinematography was so average. The movie also had plenty of other known faces but none had much contributory screen space to show case their role properly. About lead heroines of the movie, Anushka had nothing but few songs and scenes, Hansika had some role but she hardly fits to the role as a school student in Thuthukudi. Coming to the casting of course Surya sweeps it all. Get in for one and only Surya who is bagging the entire movie with his fierce looks and eyes popping out of anger to finish his enemies trio. What do you expect from a 100% raw commercial movie? If your answer is a movie with some repeated nonstop heroic action packed stunts rather than some reasonable screen play, story and stuff. The mass part takes over at the cost logic and class. Singam 2 (2013) Review: This film is definitely a bigger sequel but if you analyze the concept of class vs mass in this film the later takes over.
